About the position

The Multimedia Specialist at Auburn University is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and distribution of graphic web page content. This role involves providing creative, technical, and service-related support across various media technologies and distribution channels, contributing to the university's communications and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with production of electronic communications in collaboration with a team of professionals.
• Design and implement effective web pages for the University and campus departments.
• Plan website content and graphics to align with the overall Communications and Marketing plan.
• Produce and distribute internal and external stories, articles, newsletters, and advertisements.
• Develop and implement web standards and templates reflecting institutional marketing standards.
• Consult with campus communicators on web strategies and maintenance issues.
• Provide technical design and implementation solutions, along with creative input and design.
• Participate in projects related to technical and creative media needs.
• Provide quality control of production processes, ensuring technical quality and reliability.
• Support media technologies including photography, video editing, and complex animations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with 10 years of experience in multimedia technologies, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of experience, or a Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience in multimedia technologies and providing creative, technical, or support for various media.
