About the position
The Multimedia Specialist position at the Defense Logistics Agency involves utilizing technical expertise and creativity to develop and deliver multimedia content for training and educational purposes. The role focuses on creating both synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for DLA and DoD employees, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining high standards in multimedia production.
Responsibilities
- Utilize expert technical knowledge and creativity to create distributed learning for DLA and DoD employees.
- Provide multimedia services including video/audio recording, production, and Distance Learning broadcast support.
- Plan, develop, produce, direct, and edit television/video productions for educational and training purposes.
- Utilize various software packages for course authoring, graphics, animation, and interactive video.
- Ensure all products comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in multimedia production and instructional media design.
- Education from an accredited institution may substitute for experience, including a Ph.D. or three years of graduate education in a related field.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Distance Learning Tele-training broadcasts and online training.
- Consulting experience on effective use of multimedia technologies.
