About the position

The Multinational Program Manager (MPM) at Starr Insurance Companies is responsible for managing assigned Multinational accounts, ensuring effective structuring of Multinational Programs, and maintaining compliance with local regulations. This role involves close collaboration with Underwriters, local offices, and the Multinational Network to facilitate policy issuance, premium allocation, and claims management. The MPM will also support project integration and provide guidance on process design and financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Managing assigned Multinational accounts and working closely with Underwriters to structure Multinational Programs.
  • Ensuring appropriate territorial coverage and premium allocations, including tax calculations.
  • Liaising with the Multinational Network for local policy issuance.
  • Managing service levels and standards to ensure timely policy issuance.
  • Preparing Multinational Proposals and Binders.
  • Understanding the basics of Reinsurance Agreements for all Programs.
  • Overseeing premium payment and reconciliation at the Producing Office level.
  • Liaising with Network Aggregator / RI Accounting for RI Panel & Captive payments.
  • Overseeing claims and claims reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulations, retentions, tariffs, reinsurance flows, and tax calculations for assigned accounts.
  • Communicating with local offices for policy issuance, premium collection, remittance, and claims notifications.
  • Working with Brokers to ensure consistency in instructions and problem resolution.
  • Supporting the SGS project team in process design, IT enhancements, and financial management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Multinational Program business or related area.
  • Understanding of financial management and Reinsurance structures.
  • Knowledge of currency and exchange rates.
  • Experience liaising with multiple countries and strong cultural awareness.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Negotiation, judgment, and decision-making ability.
  • Business development and marketing skills.
  • Professional business writing and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent.
