About the position

The Multiskilled Data Specialist role at Griffin Hospital involves managing COVID testing data to forecast future needs and providing customer service support for hospital clients. This position requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to ensure accurate data processing and compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Source, track, and utilize COVID testing data to forecast and predict future testing and client needs.
• Provide customer service support for all hospital clients regarding the COVID testing program.
• Organize, file, and maintain careful records of confidential lists, communications, and documents while complying with HIPAA guidelines.
• Complete data processing, input, and output tasks with care and without errors.
• Identify and rectify discrepancies in information using insight about the data generation process and available records.
• Interface respectfully and effectively with team members in different roles to solve problems and serve patients efficiently.
• Implement the application of the Microsoft Office Suite and medical information software.
• Assist the Laboratory/Specimen Receiving Team in obtaining all information required to process specimens.
• Provide coverage for customer services as needed.

Requirements

• Associates Degree required; Bachelor's Degree ideal.
• Preferred training in word processing, data entry, and computer operation.
• Computer literacy required with experience in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
