About the position

The Multimedia Brand Content Writer at Texas Tech University is responsible for developing and implementing social media and marketing strategies for the Texas Tech Dental Oral Health Clinic. This role aims to enhance the clinic's online presence and improve marketing and branding efforts, focusing on patient acquisition, student success, and donor stewardship. The writer will work closely with the Sr. Director of Marketing and Creative Services, self-directing marketing initiatives and managing social media content and campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement social media strategy for the Oral Health Clinic.
• Manage and oversee social media content and campaigns.
• Track social media trends and analyze key performance indicators for campaign success.
• Collaborate with designers and copywriters to ensure content quality.
• Monitor SEO and user engagement, suggesting content optimization.
• Communicate with industry professionals and influencers to build a strong network.
• Adhere to all Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso policies and values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in creative writing, public relations, advertising, marketing, or related field.
• Two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling six years.

Nice-to-haves

• 2-3 years of experience as a social media or marketing specialist.
• Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and best practices.
• Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics.
• Experience with audience and buyer persona research.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proven experience creating branded content with a portfolio.
• Excellent multitasking and time-management skills.
