About the position

The Murex Project Manager will oversee and manage various Murex Risk Projects, ensuring effective communication, governance, and execution of project plans. This role involves maintaining program scope, tracking progress, and managing dependencies while coordinating with multiple teams to deliver functional enhancements and testing activities related to Murex.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain program scope, governance, and communication plan.
  • Create project meeting materials and meeting output as per the communication plan.
  • Review open items, issues, and risks log at daily technology touchpoints to track program progress.
  • Prepare weekly status reports supporting performance governance across various departments.
  • Present bi-weekly Steering Committee updates including program status, key risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Manage and track integrated Murex and Company end-to-end program plans for Day 2 functional deliveries and enhancements.
  • Coordinate Murex and Company dependencies and logistics to support program activities.
  • Oversee testing activities for major releases requiring Murex binary updates.
  • Manage the change request process through the established governance model.
  • Administer and own the program open items, issues, and risk log.
  • Drive program-level risks and issues to resolution.
  • Support and monitor progress of test planning and execution for all test phases.
  • Manage defect management process utilizing Company JIRA tool and Murex PEGA tool.
  • Ensure timely scheduling to merge defect fixes into test environments with the environment management team.
  • Host meetings with Murex and Company to resolve open defects and monitor testing progress.
  • Develop key metrics to report test status including progress, open defects, and issues/risks impacting testing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management, particularly with Murex or similar financial systems.
  • Strong understanding of risk management processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing testing activities and defect management processes.
  • Ability to create and present project documentation and reports effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with JIRA and PEGA tools for project management and defect tracking.
  • Experience in financial services or risk management domains.
  • Knowledge of credit and market risk metrics.
