About the position

The Museum Curator / Cashier Associate position at the Witch Mansion & International Monster Museum in Salem, MA, offers a unique opportunity to work in one of the most popular haunted attractions in the area. This role is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic about engaging with the public and sharing the rich folklore and history associated with the museum's exhibits. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for greeting customers as they enter the museum, providing them with interesting facts, and explaining the rules of the attraction to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. Your role will be pivotal in setting the tone for the visitor's experience right from the lobby. In addition to customer interaction, you will be required to operate a cash register, handle cash transactions, and reconcile cash drawers at the end of your shift. Basic math skills are essential for this position, as you will need to accurately process payments and provide change. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, be engaging and entertaining, and have the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be well-groomed and appropriately attired, as you will be representing the museum to the public. The position may also require some light maintenance work, so being handy with tools such as a screwdriver or screw gun can be beneficial. This role is available in various capacities, including full-time, part-time, and seasonal, with expected hours ranging from 15 to 40 per week. The pay for this position ranges from $17 to $20 per hour, depending on experience and availability.

Responsibilities
