About the position

The Adjunct Instructor at Fox Valley Technical College is responsible for facilitating student learning in the Music Appreciation course. The instructor will also participate in professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness and maintain accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Foster student learning by developing appropriate instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Create learning experiences that integrate multiple delivery methodologies and instructional technologies.
• Assess student learning and provide regular feedback to help students succeed.
• Maintain accurate student attendance and grade records, ensuring a safe and engaging instructional environment.
• Engage with division, department, and team members to support the college's initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with community, industry, and clinical partners.
• Advocate for students and collaborate with Student Services to enhance student success.
• Engage in continuous professional development to improve teaching practices.

Requirements

• Master of Music (M.M.) or Master of Arts (M.A.) or a Master's degree with 18 graduate credits in music.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience at the K12 or postsecondary level preferred.
• Proficiency in utilizing a learning management system.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
