Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
• Teach music theory, vocal techniques, and instrumental skills across various age groups.
• Incorporate elements of early childhood education to enhance learning experiences for younger students.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
• Organize and lead music performances, recitals, and other events to showcase student progress.
• Collaborate with other educators to integrate music into broader educational programs, including dance and culinary arts.
• Provide individualized support for students with special education needs, adapting lessons as necessary.
• Evaluate student progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field preferred.
• Experience in lesson planning and classroom management is essential.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles is a plus.
• Familiarity with dance (especially ballet) is beneficial for integrating cross-disciplinary activities.
• Skills in behavior management to support diverse learning environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff.
• A passion for teaching music and inspiring students of all ages.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to sew or create simple costumes for performances is an advantage but not required.
