About the position
The Music Instructor at School of Rock is responsible for teaching students various styles of music, including vocals, keyboard, bass, guitar, drums, and DJing. The role emphasizes creating a safe and engaging environment for students to explore their musical potential while utilizing the School of Rock Method and Songfirst approach. Instructors are expected to provide dynamic lessons that challenge and inspire students, ensuring they learn the fundamentals of music beyond just songs.
Responsibilities
- Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows.
- Understand the programs offered at the School and encourage students to progress through them.
- Ensure students are learning the fundamentals of music, not just songs.
- Communicate regularly with parents about the progress of students after lessons.
- Be visible and accessible in the school to interact with parents and students.
- Assist in rehearsals and basic maintenance in the school.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- 1 year of experience as a musician (preferred).
