About the position
Prince Music Company is seeking passionate music teachers to provide private and small group lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. The role involves teaching a variety of musical instruments and fostering a love for music through traditional teaching methods. Instructors will work closely with both children and adults, helping them develop their musical skills in a supportive and calm environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide private and small group music lessons to students of various ages.
- Teach students to read musical notation and tabs.
- Instruct students on how to play by ear and through imitation.
- Prepare lesson plans that align with traditional music teaching methods.
- Foster a positive learning environment for students of all skill levels.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in teaching music, preferably 8 years or more.
- Proficiency in playing and teaching two or more musical instruments.
- Knowledge of music theory.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with a variety of musical genres including classical, jazz, blues, and rock.
- Patience and a calm demeanor when working with children and adults.
