About the position

The Managing Vice President of Digital Workplace Technology at Gartner is responsible for the strategic direction, implementation, management, and support of digital workplace technologies. This role focuses on enhancing productivity, collaboration, and communication for over 20,000 associates globally by ensuring access to cutting-edge tools and technologies. The ideal candidate will lead a high-performing team and drive innovation in endpoint technology, video conferencing, collaboration tools, and messaging services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital workplace technology strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the deployment, management, and support of endpoint technology devices.
  • Lead the implementation and continuous optimization of video conferencing solutions.
  • Drive the adoption and effective use of collaboration tools.
  • Manage and optimize messaging platforms for reliable communication.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies for continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and partners.
  • Develop and manage the digital workplace technology budget.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of technology professionals.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure technology solutions meet requirements.
  • Oversee the management of the support organization, including onsite support and 24x7 Helpdesk operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital workplace technology, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving innovation and forward-thinking technology solutions.
  • Deep understanding of endpoint technology, video conferencing technology, collaboration tools, and messaging platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of technology professionals.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in managing technology budgets.
  • Experience managing support organizations.
