About the position

The Regional Operations Manager at Johnson Controls, Inc. is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across all York Direct Stores in their region. This role focuses on developing and implementing training programs, enhancing team performance, resolving issues, and improving customer experience. The manager will audit stores to ensure compliance with best practices and company policies, ultimately aiming to increase sales, profitability, and overall store performance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operational excellence at all York Direct Stores in the region.
  • Develop and implement training programs for team development.
  • Monitor performance metrics and resolve issues to improve customer experience.
  • Audit stores to ensure adherence to best practices and company policies.
  • Assist in increasing sales and profitability of stores through adherence to Standard Operating Practices.
  • Coach Store Managers in all areas of store operations.
  • Identify weaknesses and develop methods for improvement.
  • Provide frequent training to achieve operational excellence.
  • Support Store Managers and employees through communication and problem solving.
  • Create and maintain high performing flexible teams.
  • Audit reports to confirm Store Managers are reviewing as per policy.
  • Provide updates to the Area Director regarding store performance and obstacles.
  • Establish annual goals for Store Managers and their direct reports.
  • Develop relationships with Store Managers and act as a mentor.
  • Ensure stores complete assigned safety training and follow safety guidelines.
  • Conduct monthly store assessments and visit stores regularly.
  • Assist in new store openings from site selection to opening.

Requirements

  • 5 years of B2B (Sales) branch/warehouse management experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer relationship, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and organization skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and positive human relations orientation.
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining control of operations.
  • Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • HVAC industry experience.
