About the position

The N. Florida Regional Operations Manager at Johnson Controls is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across all York Direct Stores in the region. This role focuses on developing and implementing training programs, enhancing team performance, and improving customer experience while adhering to company policies and best practices. The manager will also play a key role in increasing sales and profitability by mentoring store managers and conducting regular audits to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operational excellence at all York Direct Stores in the region.
  • Develop and implement training programs for team development.
  • Monitor performance metrics and resolve issues to improve customer experience.
  • Audit stores to ensure adherence to best practices and company policies.
  • Assist in increasing sales, profitability, and overall store performance.
  • Coach Store Managers in all areas of store operations.
  • Identify weaknesses and develop methods for improvement.
  • Provide frequent training to achieve operational excellence.
  • Support Store Managers and employees through communication and problem-solving.
  • Create and maintain high-performing flexible teams.
  • Audit reports to confirm compliance with policies.
  • Provide updates to the Area Director on store performance and obstacles.
  • Establish annual goals for Store Managers and their teams.
  • Develop relationships with Store Managers and act as a mentor.
  • Ensure compliance with safety training and guidelines.
  • Conduct monthly store assessments and visit stores regularly.
  • Assist in new store openings from site selection to launch.

Requirements

  • 5 years of B2B (Sales) branch/warehouse management experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer relationship, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with a positive human relations orientation.
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining control of operations.
  • Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • HVAC industry experience.
