About The Position

The Manager - Purchasing position at Schaeffler involves implementing and executing purchasing strategies and policies to ensure compliance and adherence to quality standards. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technical Field, or Supply Chain.
• Demonstrated experience in a Purchasing Leadership position within a plant environment.
• Self-motivated, driven, and assertive with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Technical knowledge of the automotive industry and business acumen.
• Experience in purchasing, negotiation, supplier management, and/or development.
• SAP Purchasing/ERP experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to train, mentor, and grow subordinates.

Responsibilities

• Implement and execute established purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Own and manage plant-level purchasing metrics focusing on cost savings, supply chain risk mitigation, quality, and delivery.
• Develop and strengthen the supplier base and purchasing partnerships, overseeing new supplier onboarding.
• Plan, prioritize resources, and initiate improvement actions to support customers while optimizing budgets and processes.
• Make quick decisions and take ownership of issues until resolved.
