About the position

The NaaS Technology Architect at Lumen is a customer-facing role focused on leveraging technological advancements to benefit enterprise clients. This position involves collaborating with sales, solution engineering, and customer success teams to design and architect solutions using Lumen's technology services platform. The ideal candidate will integrate technical expertise with sales capabilities to understand business needs, develop technical sales strategies, and present tailored solutions that deliver business value.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the expert for Solution Engineers, clarifying requirements and ensuring solutions address client issues.
  • Provide design, solution best practices, and industry knowledge to sales teams throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to enhance processes and contribute insights for new product development.
  • Participate in customer meetings, developing and presenting technical proposals tailored to the audience.
  • Engage with customers at all management levels, demonstrating strong solution selling skills and proactive communication.
  • Guide custom requests through the approval process, understanding technical and product limitations.
  • Assist Sales Teams by sharing expertise on processes, technology, and products through various communication methods.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales role responsible for needs identification, qualification, and solutions design.
  • Technical knowledge in Networks-as-a-Service, NFV, MEF/Carrier Ethernet, TCP/IP, BGP, Internet, MPLS, SASE, DDOS, Network Security, Cloud Connect to GCP, Azure, AWS, Oracle.
  • Ability to lead discussions with clients across various levels including C-level, VPs, and Directors.
  • Proven track record of success in attaining sales quotas through leveraging technical relationships.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating technical solutions clearly.
  • Expert problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues across multiple products.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Expert level presentation skills for creating engaging proposals.
