About the position

The Nail Technician at Wind Creek Chicago Southland is responsible for providing professional nail, hand, and foot treatments while ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. This role requires a thorough knowledge of nail care, sanitation practices, and the ability to perform services in accordance with spa protocols. The technician will engage with guests, promote services, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Arrives on time for scheduled shifts and performs services within the allotted time.
• Receives guests in a courteous and polite manner.
• Provides consistent and professional nail, hand, and foot treatments according to spa protocols.
• Properly opens and closes each shift, caring for equipment and managing product usage.
• Maintains sanitation and sterilization standards as directed by law and spa policies.
• Promotes services and home care programs to meet retail sales goals.
• Maintains knowledge of the property and special events to advise guests.
• Responds to guest requests and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Works independently and remains at assigned post for extended periods.
• Participates in training and staff meetings for the Spa.
• Assists in all areas of spa operation as needed.
• Ensures confidentiality of guest information.
• Communicates occurrences requiring management attention.
• Maintains a positive attitude and contributes to a quality work environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled in a GED program.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
• Currently hold and maintain a Cosmetology License or Nail Technician License from Illinois.
• Previous spa or salon experience required.
• Must successfully pass a job interview, including a guest service audition.
• Capable of basic arithmetic operations.
• Demonstrates hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Must be efficient and maintain an on-time schedule of appointments.
• Must have enthusiasm and excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to lift, pull, push, and/or carry items over fifty (50) pounds.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment.
• Willing to work odd hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have an Occupational License or the ability to obtain one.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a high-volume spa or salon environment.
