About the position

The Margin Operations role within Citi Markets Operations is crucial for mitigating credit risk and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position oversees the end-to-end margining process, including margin calls processing, collateral optimization, and resolution of exceptions. The role requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to enhance client experience and operational efficiency while maintaining a robust control environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily end-to-end margining process.
• Supervise KPIs to manage key risk and control metrics.
• Execute simplification and transformation of platforms to reduce manual touch points.
• Establish and maintain strong internal and external client and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with Audit, Compliance, and Regulatory requirements.
• Manage complex issues related to collateral and margin across multiple operations areas.
• Build effective relationships with clients and facilitate change.
• Utilize exceptional communication skills to engage with stakeholders.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of working experience in Markets Operations, with at least 2 years in the financial industry.
• Strong communication skills, able to interact effectively with various business functions.
• Demonstrated risk management and control mindset.
• Ability to provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of complex situations.
• Self-reliant, good problem solver, and results-oriented.
