This full-time position involves caring for two children aged 3 and 4, with a focus on gentle parenting techniques and child-led learning. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, with most hours falling in the afternoons and evenings, and may include a split schedule for school drop-offs. Candidates should be proactive, possess strong communication skills, and be comfortable switching between household management and childcare duties.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the well-being and care of the children
• Flexibility to accommodate the family's schedule needs
• Engage in child-related chores
• Light housekeeping including laundry and dishes
• Prepare nutritious meals for the children (no red meat)
• Pick up children from school/after-school activities
• Assist with bedtime routine
• Perform grocery shopping as needed
• Meal prep for the family as needed
• Upkeep/maintenance of shared living areas including upkeep of play rooms (putting toys away, sanitizing toys as needed)

Requirements

• Professional childcare experience of at least 2 years
• CPR Certification
• First Aid Certification
• Driver's License
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to develop age-appropriate activities
• Familiarity with gentle parenting principles
• Ability to limit screen time and encourage independent thinking
• Collaborative attitude towards working with parents
