About the position
The Utah Nanny Agency is seeking a nurturing and attentive nanny for a family in Salt Lake City, UT. This full-time position involves caring for two children aged 3 and 4, with a focus on gentle parenting techniques and child-led learning. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, with most hours falling in the afternoons and evenings, and may include a split schedule for school drop-offs. Candidates should be proactive, possess strong communication skills, and be comfortable switching between household management and childcare duties.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the well-being and care of the children
- Flexibility to accommodate the family's schedule needs
- Engage in child-related chores
- Light housekeeping including laundry and dishes
- Prepare nutritious meals for the children (no red meat)
- Pick up children from school/after-school activities
- Assist with bedtime routine
- Perform grocery shopping as needed
- Meal prep for the family as needed
- Upkeep/maintenance of shared living areas including upkeep of play rooms (putting toys away, sanitizing toys as needed)
Requirements
- Professional childcare experience of at least 2 years
- CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Driver's License
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to develop age-appropriate activities
- Familiarity with gentle parenting principles
- Ability to limit screen time and encourage independent thinking
- Collaborative attitude towards working with parents
