About the position

The Engineer I (Chassis/Trim/Body) position at Hyundai Motor Group North American Quality Center focuses on enhancing product quality and customer satisfaction for current vehicles. The role involves investigating chassis quality issues, conducting field investigations, analyzing data, and benchmarking competitive designs to improve systems and materials.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and support the testing of chassis quality issues in Hyundai, Genesis, or Kia vehicles.
• Conduct field or on-site investigations to collect subjective and objective data.
• Analyze data to diagnose root causes and validate the effectiveness of improvements.
• Benchmark competitive vehicle designs and diagnostic procedures.
• Study external indices and customer feedback to identify market trends.
• Research and maintain new technologies, tools, and methods for data acquisition and analysis.
• Manage schedules and coordinate with outsourced companies to meet deliverables.
• Assist vendors and address issues to maintain project schedules.
• Create and present technical reports as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility with travel (domestic and international) is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in automotive engineering, with a strong preference for Chassis/Trim/Body experience.
• Preferred knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles and practices.
