About the position

As the Global Brand Narrative Director for Nike Kids, you will be responsible for building the voice and creative strategy that embodies the essence of the Nike brand. This role involves connecting purposeful initiatives with inspiring stories about athletes, products, and services, while driving creative global concepts aligned with the strategic direction of the Brand Creative team. You will lead and oversee the creative process, ensuring excellence in storytelling across various channels and formats.

Responsibilities

  • Build the voice and creative strategy for Nike Kids.
  • Connect purposeful initiatives with stories around athletes, products, and services.
  • Drive and champion creative global concepts aligned with the Brand Creative team's strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with writers, designers, and producers to develop innovative storytelling.
  • Oversee copywriters in delivering outstanding writing for various consumer-facing creative work.
  • Partner with the Social team to manage Nike's voice on social media.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to craft brand and seasonal strategy and product positioning.
  • Supervise project work to ensure high standards of quality, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Lead and deliver end-to-end creative concepts across product launches, brand stories, and consumer events.
  • Mentor and lead others within the narrative space.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum of 8 years of creative experience in editorial, content marketing, brand marketing, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor other writers and creatives.
  • Deep connection to Kids work.
  • Experience leading photography and video/film productions from pre-production to post-production.
  • Proven track record of innovative storytelling across multiple categories.
  • Experience in leading agencies and internal partners to deliver high-caliber work.
  • Strong human and leadership skills to empower the team.
  • Good understanding of interactive communication and user interface design for online products.
  • Significant consumer knowledge globally.
