About the position

The Systems Integrator position at MRI Technologies involves working on the JETS II Contract at NASA Johnson Space Center, focusing on human space exploration and deep space challenges. The role requires understanding complex systems, applying model-based systems engineering practices, and developing software in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Understand complex systems, particularly interfaces and interdependencies.
  • Apply model-based systems engineering best practices to develop models of systems.
  • Develop interface control documents.
  • Engage in software development and architectures.
  • Work with autonomous systems.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in systems integration or related area.
  • Experience with software verification and validation processes.
  • Experience with complex distributed systems.
  • Proficient in developing software using C/C++ in a Linux environment.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS NG.
  • Experience with web-based collaboration tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Confluence, Gitlab, JIRA, MS Teams, Slack, Sharepoint.
  • Strong evidence of success in highly collaborative projects/environments.
  • Ability to succeed in fast-paced environments.
  • Flexibility and openness to new challenges in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong technical expertise combined with verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision.

  • Excellent written communication and visual diagram creation skills.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.
  • Experience with Agile software development.
  • Familiarity with NASA software and systems development standards.
  • Knowledge of NASA Gateway Spacecraft systems and software including the Core Flight System (CFS).
