About the position

The NatSec Cloud Builder role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) involves working closely with U.S. Intelligence Community agencies to implement innovative cloud computing solutions. This position requires a strong technical background, consultative skills, and a passion for educating and training clients on cloud solutions. The role emphasizes collaboration across AWS teams to deliver tailored solutions and drive feature innovation based on customer needs. Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and be willing to work on-site at least one day a week.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with U.S. Intelligence Community agencies to implement cloud computing solutions.
  • Educate and train clients on application architectures and integration approaches.
  • Engage in deep architecture discussions and design exercises to create innovative solutions on AWS.
  • Work with AWS teams to deliver the right solutions and drive feature innovation based on customer needs.
  • Maintain and develop technical skills to contribute effectively to projects.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications or equivalent education experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with software development tools and methodologies.
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience in technology/software sales consulting or equivalent skills.
  • Professional experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Experience migrating or transforming Legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server hardware, and storage.
  • Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
