About the position

Trident Seafoods is seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Sales Manager to join the National Account team. This role is pivotal in driving revenue, profit, and volume growth while managing relationships with key national and regional chain restaurant accounts. The Senior Sales Manager will focus on promoting the company's seafood portfolio, particularly Wild Alaska Seafood and value-added products, and will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, building long-term partnerships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and implement customer strategies aligned with the National Account Foodservice market business strategy.
  • Develop and deliver effective selling presentations that implement approved customer plans.
  • Identify and pursue new customer opportunities in the Foodservice market.
  • Enhance customer performance through negotiation, marketing, and sales initiatives.
  • Manage customer marginal contribution and financial objectives effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including customer service, finance, supply chain, R&D, operations, and marketing.
  • Utilize management tools to analyze data on critical business drivers to improve results.
  • Develop customer business plans for restaurant chains and large group partners.
  • Manage the customer relationship from end to end, including new customer setup and marketing.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of professional sales experience, preferably in chain business, seafood, or Center of the Plate proteins.
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with national restaurant chains or large foodservice customers.
  • Up to 40% travel availability.
  • Strong history of delivering sustainable growth and exceeding customer plans.
  • Proven track record in sales planning and customer P&L management.
  • Solid analytical and technical skills in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
  • Experience with product portfolio channel management.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining cross-functional relationships.
  • Proficient in developing and delivering presentations in various environments.
  • Strong negotiating skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Business or Marketing.
  • Experience selling within Chain Restaurants and/or Large Groups.
  • Confident storyteller with experience distilling information into impactful campaign briefs.
  • Seafood background with knowledge of Alaska fisheries.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to draw conclusions from data.
  • Advanced knowledge of key functions and their initiatives.
