About the position

The National Account Manager - Acquisition is responsible for prospecting and acquiring new multi-segment national accounts for GP PRO. This strategic role requires a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders. The position focuses on developing and implementing acquisition strategies that align with the company's vision and drive long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and acquire new national accounts to drive business growth.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives.
  • Build an effective territory strategy that includes fact-based assessments of the accessible market in your assigned area of responsibility to prioritize potential customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Negotiate agreements to maximize profitability and ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales activities and progress.
  • Efficiently utilize customer activity reports/files and various prospecting tools, such as Salesforce.com.
  • Attend live meetings, tradeshows, and related activities.

Requirements

  • 3 years of outside sales or equivalent experience
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite of Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 40%

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience and success in selling to new and existing customers, preferably larger or multi-site accounts.
  • Experience collaborating with distribution sales teams for mutual success
  • Experience applying a broad understanding of economic thinking and PBM® mental models to ensure fiscally sound and responsible proposals and decisions.
  • Experienced working with cross functional capabilities (Sales Ops, Category, Marketing, eCom).
  • Experience with financial acumen and reporting evaluation
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with CRM/Salesforce.com.
