About the position

The National Account Manager at EBIN New York is a pivotal role responsible for driving the attainment of annual corporate sales revenue objectives for assigned accounts. This position requires a strategic thinker who can formulate objectives and priorities while implementing plans that align with the long-term business and competitive interests of the organization. The National Account Manager will develop and manage the sales strategy for national field execution, ensuring that corporate revenue objectives are met. This includes directing brokers and merchandising staff towards achieving sales objectives, establishing account and promotional sales goals, and monitoring sales achievements against the sales plan. In this role, the National Account Manager will ensure the execution of all selling tactics outlined in the marketing plan and manage sales and marketing strategies to deliver brand share objectives. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers and distributors, is essential for developing customer partnerships. The position also involves visiting existing accounts to communicate focus product initiatives and ensure proper execution in the field. Consistent communication with the sales team is necessary to ensure that sales and marketing priorities are effectively executed. The National Account Manager will analyze weekly and monthly sales reports to understand field performance and implement action plans to achieve sales objectives. Additionally, the role includes maintaining a comprehensive co-op advertising and promotional program to facilitate the achievement of account distribution and sales objectives. The manager will also develop and implement a field intelligence system for prompt reporting of competitive activity and create promotional strategies with effective tactical plans to achieve brand sales objectives. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the sales strategy for national field execution to accomplish corporate revenue objectives.
  • Direct brokers and merchandising staff towards the achievement of sales objectives.
  • Establish account and promotional sales objectives while monitoring all sales achievement versus sales plan.
  • Ensure execution of all selling tactics of the marketing plan.
  • Manage and execute sales and marketing strategies to deliver brand share objectives.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders (brokers, distributors, etc.) to develop customer relationships and partnerships.
  • Visit existing accounts to communicate focus product initiatives and ensure execution.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the sales team to ensure that sales and marketing priorities and initiatives are executed in the field.
  • Analyze weekly and monthly sales reports, understand field performance, and implement action plans to ensure sales objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain a comprehensive co-op advertising/promotional program to facilitate achievement of account distribution/sales objectives.
  • Develop and implement a field intelligence system for prompt reporting of competitive activity.
  • Create promotional strategies with an effective tactical plan to achieve brand sales objectives.
  • Identify needs pertaining to field sales activity to ensure alignment with marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Business, Economics, Marketing, Management, or a related field; MBA a plus.
  • Five or more years of experience with National Retail accounts.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated sales results.
  • Innovative, highly motivated, and creative.
  • Sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and Category Analysis IRI, POS, Nielsen.
  • Industry or Category knowledge.
