About the position

The National Account Manager will oversee all sales activities within designated market channels, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of Sales. This role focuses on developing business plans, establishing sales channels, and fostering relationships with clients to drive revenue growth and enhance the organization's market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a business plan covering sales, revenues, and expense controls while meeting agreed targets.
  • Establish sales channels to market, including distribution, agents, and end-user retail sales.
  • Research and develop a list of potential clients, proactively identifying and prospecting new business leads.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with external customers, sharing knowledge and being a team player.
  • Evaluate and learn customer and competitor activities, proposing solutions accordingly.
  • Conduct product and sales training sessions to meet internal and external customer needs.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of sales leadership and business development experience.
  • Completion of a post-secondary program focusing on business and engineering or a combination of education and previous sales experience.
  • Experience in the building materials industry, preferably in flooring.
  • Demonstrated business development skills with the ability to identify customer needs and effectively communicate, negotiate, and close sales.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills, along with superior presentation skills.
  • Established ability to manage multiple priorities and business relationships effectively.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and a CRM program is preferred.
  • Excellent time-management, communications, decision-making, human relations, presentation, and organization skills.
