About the position

Custom Truck One Source is seeking a National Account Sales Manager specializing in cranes to drive sales growth in the Western Region across various industries. This role is pivotal in expanding our market presence and achieving targeted annual sales of $10 million. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing awareness and credibility with major crane owners, preparing and executing marketing plans, and conducting competitor and pricing analysis. The sales process will be managed from prospecting to delivery, and the candidate will also represent the company at relevant shows and expositions as a subject matter expert in boom trucks and cranes. This position requires a collaborative sales approach and a strategic mindset focused on sales enablement and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills to gather and interpret data, develop insights into financial and operational levers, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from C-suite executives to shop floor technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Grow sales of boom truck cranes in the Western Region across all industries.
  • Achieve targeted annual sales of $10 million.
  • Establish awareness and credibility with major crane owners.
  • Prepare and execute marketing plans within the territory.
  • Conduct competitor and pricing intelligence and analysis.
  • Manage the sales process from prospect to delivery.
  • Attend relevant shows and expositions as a subject matter expert for boom trucks and cranes.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of direct crane sales experience.
  • Understanding of the North American crane markets.
  • Collaborative sales approach with a strategic sales process mindset.
  • Excellent analytical skills to gather and digest data.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills adaptable to various audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Engineering, or Business from an accredited institution or 10 years of relevant leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of truck specifications suitable for cranes.
  • Knowledge of competitive crane companies and their products.
  • Ability to leverage CRM to improve efficiency.
  • Ability to converse and relate with owners, operators, and technicians.

Nice-to-haves

  • Crane operator's certification is a plus.
  • CDL is a plus.
