About the position

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a National Account Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. As one of the largest collision repair companies in North America, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. The National Account Manager will play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and growing relationships with local, regional, and national business partners, particularly insurance carriers. This position is pivotal in ensuring that our internal customers understand and comply with all Direct Repair Programs (DRP) that the company enters into. The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional service and value to our partners. In this role, the National Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for several insurance partners, managing service recovery issues and ensuring compliance with DRP agreements. Responsibilities will include monitoring the performance of repair centers, coordinating meetings with insurance staff, and documenting action items and responsibilities. The National Account Manager will also be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with insurance partners, especially during staffing changes, and will regularly contact clients to gather performance data and provide updates. Additionally, the National Account Manager will assist in implementing new DRP rollouts, educating internal customers about program parameters, and tracking compliance and performance metrics. Understanding market trends, including labor rates, will be essential for improving the company's gross margins and financial performance. The National Account Manager will need to have a comprehensive understanding of both Gerber's and competitors' performance metrics to effectively communicate the benefits of working with us.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national business partners, particularly insurance carriers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance partners, managing service recovery issues and DRP compliance.
  • Monitor performance of repair centers and communicate areas requiring attention to operating teams.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings with insurance staff and internal customers to review program progress and opportunities.
  • Document meeting notes, action items, and responsibilities as needed.
  • Maintain strong relations with insurance partners during staffing changes and meet communication requirements.
  • Regularly contact clients via telephone and email to gather performance data and provide updates.
  • Assist in implementing new DRP rollouts and educate internal customers on program parameters.
  • Participate in weekly operations team meetings and provide client updates and feedback.
  • Track internal compliance and performance for all DRP agreements and report progress to insurance partners.
  • Review and understand labor rates and market trends to improve gross margins and financial performance.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree is preferred.
  • Previous Business to Business (B2B) sales experience is required.
