About the position

The National Accounts Manager at B.F. Ascher & Co., Inc. is responsible for driving sales of consumer healthcare products to various retail and wholesale accounts. This role involves maintaining existing relationships, expanding distribution, and ensuring sales targets are met through effective communication and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Sell OTC products to retailers, wholesalers, mass merchandisers, and ecommerce accounts.
  • Gain and maintain distribution by traveling to existing and potential new accounts.
  • Attend trade shows, schedule & conduct annual category reviews and off-season business reviews.
  • Meet or exceed yearly sales estimate.
  • Manage broker network servicing existing accounts.
  • Analyze POS data, create P&L statements, and demonstrate solid business arithmetic.
  • Visit stores on a regular basis and gather marketplace information.
  • Manage co-op advertising with accounts and minimize expenses.
  • Maintain accurate records on customers and sales.
  • Resolve any account issues by investigating the problem and developing a solution.

Requirements

  • Highly effective communication skills
  • Overnight travel required
  • A college degree
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the industry
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Circana (IRI) and Neilsen Data analysis.
