About the position

The National Accounts Manager is responsible for driving sales of OTC consumer healthcare products to various retail and wholesale accounts. This role involves maintaining existing relationships, expanding distribution, and ensuring sales targets are met through effective communication and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Sell OTC products to retailers, wholesalers, mass merchandisers, and ecommerce accounts.
  • Gain and maintain distribution by traveling to existing and potential new accounts.
  • Attend trade shows and conduct annual category reviews and off-season business reviews.
  • Meet or exceed yearly sales estimates.
  • Manage broker network servicing existing accounts.
  • Analyze POS data and create P&L statements.
  • Demonstrate solid business arithmetic.
  • Visit stores regularly to gather marketplace information.
  • Manage co-op advertising with accounts and minimize expenses.
  • Maintain accurate records on customers and sales.
  • Resolve account issues by investigating problems and developing solutions.

Requirements

  • Highly effective communication skills.
  • Ability to travel overnight.
  • A college degree.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the industry.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in Circana (IRI) and Neilsen Data analysis.
