About the position

The National Accounts Sales Director is a pivotal role within our organization, primarily responsible for driving new business generation and managing ongoing relationships within the convenience store and petroleum market sectors. This position requires a strategic mindset and a proactive approach to sales, as the director will work closely with Territory Managers to enhance the reach and sales levels of our corporate programs. The role involves not only the acquisition of new clients but also the nurturing of existing relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. In this capacity, the National Accounts Sales Director will collaborate with the Inside Sales team and management staff to deliver exceptional support to our corporate program customers. This includes understanding customer needs, addressing concerns, and providing tailored solutions that align with our business objectives. The director will also be expected to represent the company at trade shows and industry events, showcasing our offerings and building networks that can lead to further business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business-to-business sales, particularly within the sign industry or related fields. They will be adept at navigating the complexities of corporate program sales and account management, ensuring that our corporate programs are effectively communicated and implemented across various territories. This role is not just about sales; it’s about building lasting partnerships and driving growth through strategic initiatives and collaborative efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Corporate program new business generation.
  • Work with our Territory Managers to help support and expand each corporate program's reach and level of sales.
  • Interact with our inside sales team and management staff to provide the best possible support to the corporate program customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of business-to-business sales experience, preferably with some experience selling through a distribution network.
  • 3+ years of experience in the sign industry or selling into the c-store/petroleum market.
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate program sales and account management.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to rent vehicles.
  • Easy access to major national airports such as LGA, CLT, ATL, ORD, DFW, DEN, or LAX.
  • Willingness and ability to fly as needed to accomplish sales goals or as required for trade shows and company meetings.
  • Maintain physical ability to do moderate lifting and moderately demanding physical activities required on the job.
  • Proficiency in the essential Microsoft programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Sales Force Automation (SFA) or customer relationship management (CRM) software, ideally SalesForce.com.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree in business, sales, electronics or related fields preferred.
