About the position

The National Accounts Sales Manager for Off-Premise at Folio Fine Wine Partners is responsible for driving sales and developing the company's portfolio within national and regional chain retail accounts. This fully remote position, based in California, requires the manager to establish and manage sales strategies, collaborate with distributor teams, and enhance brand awareness while building strong relationships with key stakeholders. The role emphasizes achieving sales targets, managing distributor performance, and strategic market analysis to capitalize on opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver tailored sales presentations to achieve company sales targets.
  • Collaborate with Sales Directors and Area Sales Managers to execute Chain programs and pricing.
  • Maximize authorized placements through effective communication and support opportunities.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key buyers to explore new business opportunities.
  • Engage in home market account development and initiatives when not traveling.
  • Shape and lead distributor execution to drive maximum performance and achieve sales goals.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Key Distributor personnel to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Analyze market data to identify trends and sales opportunities.
  • Communicate upcoming national chain authorizations, pricing, and promotions.
  • Provide feedback on market issues and competitive activity.

Requirements

  • College degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience selling wines through multi-tiered distribution channels, particularly in the Off-Premise channel.
  • Experience managing a distributor and budgets.
  • Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding sales skills including follow-up, closing, and overcoming objections.
  • Good PC skills, particularly in Windows: Word/Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple situations.
  • Experience in planning and coordinating events with strong time management skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to build relationships.
  • Passion for and extensive knowledge of Domestic and Import wines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the wine industry or related fields.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools for business management.
