About the position

The National Associate Sales Manager (NASM) is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business strategy to maximize revenue and profitability for the Flow Cytometry business segment in the US. This role involves leading a regional sales team, driving demand generation, and ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving financial objectives. The NASM will mentor Associate Sales Representatives and collaborate with various teams to enhance sales performance and support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement business strategies for the sales team to achieve revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of key sales management processes such as Sales Funnel Management and CRM management.
  • Engage in joint sales calls with ASRs to coach and improve sales skills.
  • Provide sales mentoring and training on technical product knowledge and value selling.
  • Support demand and lead generation activities in collaboration with marketing.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and coach a team of Associate Sales Representatives (ASR).
  • Manage regional expenses within budgeted guidelines.
  • Provide feedback to marketing on commercial activities and competitive intelligence.
  • Lead the team for all open Clinical bids, RFPs, and RFIs.
  • Promote an inclusive work environment and respect diversity among the team.
  • Drive special projects related to sales or training as directed by leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Scientific Field preferred, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years previous sales management experience or relevant leadership experience.
  • Minimum 6 years sales or commercial experience in the Life Science market.
  • Experience with selling via channel and lead generation methods.
  • Demonstrated history of attaining and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organization skills.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and SalesForce.com.
  • Proven history of strong financial and business acumen.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six to ten years of medical/life science sales experience.
  • Previous experience selling medical/life science capital equipment and consumable solutions.
  • Experience working in a team selling environment or on cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships across functions in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience developing early career sales associates.
