About the position

The National Cataract Equipment Sales Manager will lead the capital equipment sales execution for Johnson & Johnson Vision in the US. This remote position requires close proximity to a major airport and involves managing a team to achieve sales goals, develop talent, and maintain key customer relationships. The role emphasizes collaboration with the commercial team to drive business growth and uphold a culture of compliance and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals for capital equipment, consumables, and accessories.
  • Hire, develop, and maintain top talent on the Cataract Equipment Team.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports to drive positive sales results and prepare them for future roles.
  • Communicate positively and transparently to support the organization's strategy and objectives.
  • Participate in sales field rides, target planning, territory alignment, and KOL engagement.
  • Establish and manage operational standards for accuracy and accountability to management metrics.
  • Work closely with division and regional counterparts to foster teamwork and cooperation within field selling teams.
  • Demonstrate initiative to effectively respond to market trends and challenges.
  • Support customer relationships and demonstrate leadership to address key customer inquiries.
  • Uphold a culture of compliance, diversity, and accountability.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Life Sciences.
  • Minimum of 6 years of medical sales experience, with 3 years in sales leadership preferred.
  • Proven track record in medical, surgical, and/or capital equipment sales.
  • Strong capabilities in sales leadership and team management.
  • Thorough understanding of the ophthalmology space and MedTech capital equipment sales.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and experience with Salesforce optimization preferred.
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets to uncover market opportunities.
