National Coatings & Supplies, Inc Distribution Center Associate

About the position

The Distribution Center Associate at National Coatings & Supplies is responsible for performing material handling functions within the distribution center. This role involves accurately picking, stocking, counting, and adjusting inventory using hand-held bar code scanners, all while working under indirect supervision. The position requires adherence to production standards and completion of daily housekeeping duties.

Responsibilities

• Picks orders accurately and to a set production standard, as assigned by supervisor
• Properly log, process, and stock inbound merchandise shipments
• Palletizes and labels overstock for proper handling
• Checks shipments for accuracy and reports results to the supervisor
• Ensures that all parts are located
• Tags all orders to ensure proper shipping location
• Completes daily housekeeping duties at the end of each day
• Cycle counts bin locations as assigned by supervisor
• Restocks consumables and prepares for the next business day
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• HS Diploma/GED required
• 0 to 2 years previous work experience preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to use computer equipment and simple math
• Ability to use hand-held bar code scanning equipment in a paperless warehouse
• Ability to stand and walk up to 3 hours at a time
• Ability to lift 20lbs regularly and up to 50lbs on occasion
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl
