About the position

The National Community Relations and Education Manager for Rare Blood Disorders at Sanofi is responsible for promoting the hemophilia portfolio and executing strategic business plans to meet and exceed targets within a designated geographic territory. This role involves educating healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers about rare blood disorders, while ensuring compliance with company policies and fostering community relationships. The position requires a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to support patient needs and reduce barriers to therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective execution of Sanofi strategies and tactics within assigned geographic area by developing effective business plans.
  • Ensure close cross-functional collaboration with Case Managers, Marketing, Medical, Sales and Market Access.
  • Demonstrate deep marketplace, therapeutic, product and disease expertise based on thorough understanding of rigorous scientific principles and data.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of health care industry, trends, applicable laws and regulations, market conditions, and the market access environment.
  • Identify key decision makers for the use of Sanofi products and conduct customer meetings within assigned territory.
  • Utilize CRM to manage territory and record activities.
  • Demonstrate advanced ability to ask strategic, insightful questions to obtain information on customer needs.
  • Engage with local hemophilia chapters to identify patient and family needs regarding education and accessing therapy.
  • Conduct formal and informal presentations and convey complex hematology clinical information fluently.
  • Provide product, wellness and lifestyle education to the community by conducting programs and engaging with families directly.
  • Support new families initiating treatment and seek to reduce administrative barriers to adherence.
  • Build relationships within the community and represent Sanofi at local patient events.
  • Provide field insights into the creation of new strategies and tactics.
  • Ensure compliance with Sanofi policies.
  • Review and analyze market/customer data to support and execute strategic planning.
  • Be responsive to the needs of providers and patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proven experience with presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally
  • Experience with engaging patients and caregivers with rare/chronic conditions
  • Willingness and ability to work within and outside of traditional business hours
  • The ability to travel 50-80%
  • Valid driver's license
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish required
