About the position

The National Community Relations and Education Manager for Rare Blood Disorders at Sanofi is responsible for promoting the hemophilia portfolio and executing strategic business plans to meet and exceed targets within a designated geographic territory. This role involves educating healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers about rare blood disorders, while ensuring compliance with company policies and fostering community relationships. The position requires a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to support patient needs and reduce barriers to therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective business plans to execute strategies consistent with corporate brand and marketing plans tailored to the geographic area.
  • Collaborate closely with Case Managers, Marketing, Medical, Sales, and Market Access to ensure integrated implementation of strategies and tactics.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the marketplace, therapeutic areas, and disease knowledge to provide key market insights and feedback to the home office.
  • Analyze healthcare industry trends, applicable laws, and market conditions to inform business plans and daily execution of calls.
  • Identify key decision makers for Sanofi products and conduct customer meetings within the assigned territory.
  • Utilize CRM to manage territory and record activities effectively.
  • Ask strategic questions to understand customer needs and position current promoted Hematology brands accordingly.
  • Engage with local hemophilia chapters to identify patient and family education needs regarding therapy access.
  • Conduct presentations to convey complex hematology clinical information to the hemophilia community.
  • Provide product, wellness, and lifestyle education to the community through direct engagement with families.
  • Support new families initiating treatment and reduce administrative barriers to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Build relationships within the community and represent Sanofi at local patient events.
  • Provide field insights for the creation of new strategies and tactics, representing the patient's voice to the home office.
  • Review and analyze market/customer data to support strategic planning and execution.
  • Be responsive to the needs of providers and patients, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Foster team effectiveness by sharing knowledge and information among partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Proven experience with presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally.
  • Experience engaging patients and caregivers with rare/chronic conditions.
  • Willingness to work within and outside of traditional business hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel 50-80%.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish required.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or Science background.
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated industry success.
  • 3-5 years' experience in hemophilia.
  • Experience with rare/orphan diseases.
  • Experience working with specialty pharmacies.
