About the position

The National Community Relations and Education Manager for Rare Blood Disorders at Sanofi is responsible for promoting the hemophilia portfolio and executing strategic business plans to meet and exceed targets within a designated geographic territory. This role involves educating healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers about disease and treatment options, while ensuring compliance with company policies. The manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with local communities to identify educational needs and support patients in accessing therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective execution of Sanofi strategies and tactics within assigned geographic area by developing effective business plans.
  • Ensure close cross-functional collaboration with Case Managers, Marketing, Medical, Sales, and Market Access.
  • Demonstrate deep marketplace, therapeutic, product, and disease expertise based on scientific principles and data.
  • Provide key market insights and field feedback to home office.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of healthcare industry trends, laws, and market conditions in business planning.
  • Identify key decision makers for the use of Sanofi products and conduct customer meetings.
  • Utilize CRM to manage territory and record activities.
  • Demonstrate advanced ability to ask strategic questions to obtain information on customer needs.
  • Engage with local hemophilia chapters to identify patient and family needs regarding education and accessing therapy.
  • Conduct formal and informal presentations to the hemophilia community.
  • Provide product, wellness, and lifestyle education to the community.
  • Support new families initiating treatment and reduce administrative barriers to adherence.
  • Build relationships within the community and represent Sanofi at local patient events.
  • Provide field insights into the creation of new strategies and tactics.
  • Ensure compliance with Sanofi policies.
  • Review and analyze market/customer data to support strategic planning.
  • Be responsive to the needs of providers and patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Proven experience with presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally.
  • Experience with engaging patients and caregivers with rare/chronic conditions.
  • Willingness and ability to work within and outside of traditional business hours.
  • The ability to travel 50-80%.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish required.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA/Science background.
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated industry success.
  • 3-5 years' experience in hemophilia or rare/orphan disease experience.
  • Experience working with specialty pharmacies.
  • Launch experience with complex specialty products.
