About the position

The National Community Relations and Education Manager for Rare Blood Disorders at Sanofi is responsible for promoting the hemophilia portfolio and executing strategic business plans to meet and exceed targets within a designated geographic territory. This role involves educating healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers about rare blood disorders, while ensuring compliance with company policies and fostering community relationships. The position requires a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to support patient needs and reduce barriers to therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective business plans to execute strategies consistent with corporate brand and marketing plans tailored to the geographic area.
  • Collaborate closely with Case Managers, Marketing, Medical, Sales, and Market Access to ensure integrated implementation of strategies.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the marketplace, therapeutic areas, and provide key market insights to the home office.
  • Analyze healthcare industry trends, laws, and market conditions to inform business plans and daily execution.
  • Identify key decision makers and conduct customer meetings within the assigned territory.
  • Utilize CRM to manage territory and record activities.
  • Ask strategic questions to understand customer needs and position hematology brands accordingly.
  • Engage with local hemophilia chapters to identify patient and family education needs.
  • Conduct presentations and convey complex clinical information to the hemophilia community.
  • Provide product and wellness education to the community and support new families initiating treatment.
  • Build relationships within the community and represent Sanofi at local patient events.
  • Provide field insights for the creation of new strategies and represent the patient's voice to the home office.
  • Ensure compliance with Sanofi policies and review market/customer data to support strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proven experience with presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally
  • Experience engaging patients and caregivers with rare/chronic conditions
  • Willingness to work outside traditional business hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to travel 50-80%
  • Valid driver's license
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish required

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA/Science background
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated industry success
  • 3-5 years' experience in hemophilia
  • Rare/orphan disease experience
  • Experience working with specialty pharmacies
  • Launch experience with complex specialty products
