About the position

Trulieve is seeking a National Copywriter to join our dynamic team, focusing on creating compelling content that resonates with our target audience. As a part of one of the fastest-growing industries in the nation, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a mission that helps patients find relief through our premium cannabis products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2C marketing and will be comfortable working across various media channels, including Display, Social, Email, and In-store content. This position is remote, with a preference for candidates living on the East Coast, and reports directly to the Senior National Copywriter. In this role, the Copywriter will be responsible for writing original copy and formatting content that aligns with our brand messaging and campaign strategies. Collaboration is key, as the Copywriter will work closely with internal teams from concept development through to the delivery of final products. Understanding the target audience is crucial, as the Copywriter will need to translate insights into compelling creative that drives engagement and conversion. The successful candidate will manage their time effectively, establishing priorities while remaining flexible to respond to changing demands. They will present copy concepts and final deliverables to reviewers, revising based on feedback to ensure clarity, conciseness, and persuasiveness in all written materials. This role requires a strategic thinker who can conceptualize creatively and is willing to grow and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Write original copy and format content across a range of channels such as Display, Site, Social, Email, and In-store.
  • Collaborate with internal teams from concept development to delivery of final product.
  • Understand target audience to translate copy into compelling creative.
  • Present copy concepts and final deliverables to reviewers; revise based on feedback.
  • Ensure written materials are clear, concise, and persuasive to help bring the campaign strategy to life.
  • Manage time and establish priorities while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing demands.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Creative Writing, Marketing or similar field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in marketing, advertising, or copywriting.
  • Ability to provide an online portfolio displaying body of work and cover letter.
  • Excellent writing skills with demonstrated experience in marketing, advertising, product, brand messaging and/or promotional copy.
  • Ability to think strategically and conceptualize creatively with a high level of detail.
  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and day-to-day deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Creative agency experience is a plus.
  • Cannabis industry experience is a plus.
