About the position

Hempel is seeking a senior sales leader to drive sustainable and profitable sales growth within the Independent Distribution channel across the US and Canada. This role involves developing strategic direction aligned with the commercial agenda, collaborating with various teams, and achieving sales targets while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic direction for Independent Distribution channels in line with the commercial agenda.
  • Achieve and exceed sales margins, average selling prices (ASP), and overall sales volume.
  • Lead the performance and development of Distribution partners.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Maintain budgetary costs and develop effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers and other departments to meet commercial objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in sales management at a senior level with Distribution partners.
  • 5 to 10 years of distribution management experience.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Financially astute with a focus on profit.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • High degree of commercial foresight.
  • First-class interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Powerful communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Willingness to travel over 50% of the time.
