About the position

The National Key Accounts Director for Leica Camera AG's Sport Optics Division is a pivotal role focused on managing and growing key accounts within the hunting, photo, and outdoor sectors. This position is responsible for developing strategic relationships, enhancing account performance through digital marketing, and leading contract negotiations to drive profitable growth while honoring the company's rich heritage in optics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tailored account strategies to maximize growth opportunities within key accounts in the hunting, photo, and outdoor markets.
  • Set clear plans and control execution to ensure targets are met, focusing on forecast accuracy and budget planning.
  • Utilize knowledge of online platforms and digital marketing strategies to enhance account performance and engagement.
  • Lead contract negotiations and renewals to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives in retail, distribution, and e-commerce.
  • Work closely with a team of regional account managers to drive performance, store activations, and merchandising.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure successful delivery of products and services to key accounts.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess account performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on account performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Omnichannel Management including brick and mortar and digital account management.
  • Experience in strategic account management within the hunting, photo, and outdoor sectors.
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation and relationship building with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Experience in leading and managing sales teams to achieve revenue goals.
