About the position

Danfoss, a global leader in HVAC/R, Industrial Automation, and Motion Controls, has an immediate opening for a National OEM Sales Manager in its Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Climate Solutions Division. The position can be located out of one of our facilities or the person can work from a home office. The Sales Manager has the responsibility to deliver sales targets and grow market share of Danfoss' products, Compressors, Heat Exchangers, Electronic Controls, and Mechanical Valves, within the Air Conditioning market segment. While leading and managing the local team, the Sales Manager must achieve sales growth targets within the U.S. and Canada with coordination with a team in Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Development of Key Account Managers and Key Account Sales.
  • Responsible for the growth and sustainability of Key Account Sales development of the Climate Solutions portfolio in alignment with the overall regional sales strategy.
  • Develop and maintain customer-focused value propositions.
  • Provide competitive insight to both the marketing and Sales excellence team.
  • Drive customer focus throughout the organization to increase Customer Loyalty.
  • P & L Responsibility.
  • Segment strategy, mentoring, and career development.
  • Coordinate with Business Development to drive sales within existing accounts.
  • Support Business Development functions with new accounts.
  • Support asset management ensuring receivables are according to agreed terms and conditions.
  • Keep an updated record of all customer-related activities in tasks in SalesForce / CRM.
  • Ensure the Team is developing and maintaining an active opportunity pipeline for all accounts.
  • Ensure Team is developing and maintaining Key Account Plans with an aggressive growth horizon based on customer business needs.
  • Develop in-depth customer understanding of identifying areas of Danfoss that can bring the greatest value within the product portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience.
  • 10-15 years of technical sales experience in the industry including Account Management/Development.
  • Demonstrable sales development record.
  • Experience managing directly or indirectly in a sales team.
  • Strong communicator and listener.
  • Willingness to travel 50% domestic and international.
