About the position

The National Sales Account Lead at Hyatt is responsible for developing and nurturing long-term strategic partnerships with designated accounts to enhance Hyatt's performance across various regions. This role focuses on both transient and group segments, aiming to achieve defined revenue targets through the implementation of the organization's B2B sales strategy and customer engagement initiatives. The position is integral to increasing revenue, expanding market presence, and enhancing Hyatt's brand awareness globally, all while fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive room night production and volume within a designated account base.
  • Grow Hyatt's presence in customer hotel programs and identify new business opportunities.
  • Leverage Hyatt's value proposition to exceed sales targets through strategic sales approaches.
  • Negotiate competitive deals that offer value to customers while maintaining profitability for Hyatt.
  • Create and implement strategic action plans for a portfolio of accounts to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Plan and organize sales calls and business travel, including customer appointments and industry events.
  • Effectively communicate and represent Hyatt's story to customers and stakeholders.
  • Engage with hotel sales teams and operators to build rapport and increase awareness of the National Sales team.
  • Stay current on market conditions and trends to proactively drive sales initiatives.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity while working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hotel experience in a similar field or equivalent business role.
  • Strong sales knowledge of transient, group, and leisure segments.
  • Experience with multiple hotel brands is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Sales, or Business preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software such as Envision, EAS, Agency 360, Lanyon RFP, and Navigator.
