About the position

The National Sales Business Analyst plays a crucial role in managing the bid process for the company. This position is primarily responsible for collecting necessary data and organizing it into a comprehensive final bid submission. The analyst will work closely with the Vice President of National Sales to ensure that all bids are accurately prepared and submitted in a timely manner. This role requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, as the analyst will need to analyze and review finalized bids, ensuring that all components are complete and meet the required standards. In addition to managing the bid process, the National Sales Business Analyst will be responsible for organizing data and building reports, as well as managing all SharePoint files related to the bids. Effective communication is essential in this role, as the analyst will need to address requests and collaborate with both the sales team and the National builders' team. Maintaining up-to-date pricing models is another critical aspect of this position, as it directly impacts the competitiveness of the bids submitted. Training sales team members on customer software and vendor portals is also a key responsibility, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to utilize the tools necessary for successful bid submissions. The work environment is described as a busy office area, which may involve frequent interruptions, requiring the analyst to be adaptable and focused amidst distractions. This is a full-time position, with expected hours of work exceeding 45 hours per week, depending on store hours of operations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and review finalized bids.
  • Organize data, report building updates, and manage all SharePoint files.
  • Address all requests and communicate effectively with the sales team and National builders' team.
  • Maintain up-to-date pricing models.
  • Train sales team members on customer software and vendor portals.

Requirements

  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, verbal, or data-driven instructions; deal with issues involving several variables in standardized situations.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Adobe, and SharePoint.
  • Familiar with various external customer/vendor portals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the residential building process.
  • Familiar with bid processes and creating price models.
