About the position

The National Sales & Business Development Manager position is a pivotal role within a Canadian company that has successfully penetrated the North American market with its innovative products designed for the electric utility and contractor sectors. This role is focused on developing and expanding the customer base within the electric utility market, particularly targeting utilities where field employee safety is a concern. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and engaging with potential clients, including electric power companies and contractors, to promote the company's proprietary products that enhance worker safety. The position requires a proactive approach to sales, including making cold calls and nurturing existing relationships. The candidate will need to provide competitive information, such as bid situations and pricing data, to establish negotiated pricing contracts. Additionally, the role involves performing both online and in-person product demonstrations, offering application support, and improving product knowledge and sales techniques. Participation in industry trade shows is also a key responsibility, allowing the candidate to showcase the company's offerings and network with potential clients. Maintaining thorough records of sales calls, leads, and sales forecasts within CRM software is essential for tracking progress and strategizing future sales efforts.
