About the position

The National Sales Manager - B2C at Marukan Vinegar is responsible for leading the B2C/Grocery sales team to achieve company sales targets through effective distribution and sales strategies. This role involves managing regional sales managers, overseeing promotional planning, and ensuring the long-term strength of the Marukan brand in retail sales channels. The position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills to drive sales growth and manage relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the B2C/Grocery sales team to achieve company sales targets.
  • Manage contracted Regional Sales Managers and the broker network.
  • Direct the Assistant Sales and Marketing Manager in consumer data analytics and reporting.
  • Oversee trade promotion management and budget monitoring.
  • Manage eCommerce sales through platforms like Amazon Seller Central.
  • Communicate sales forecasts and product demand to production and transportation departments.
  • Develop and update pricing strategies for the B2C Sales Division.
  • Prepare annual and monthly sales forecasts and budgets.
  • Oversee promotional planning for the retail Grocery Division.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and manage logistics for events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or Management.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the food industry or related positions.
  • Strong understanding of retail grocery trade and specialty grocery distributors.
  • Extensive knowledge of grocery and specialty food broker networks in the U.S.
  • Strong financial background related to managing Sales Department P&L.
  • Ability to make accurate sales forecasts and budgets based on data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Knowledge of consumer behavior in grocery and specialty food markets.
