About the position

The position involves supervising and managing a team of Account Executives and Account Managers at US Foods, focusing on driving sales growth and maintaining strong customer relationships. The role includes setting objectives, monitoring performance against key indicators, and providing support and coaching to staff. Responsibilities

  • Supervise, plan, and set objectives for assigned Account Executives and Account Managers.
  • Monitor and assess individual performance against key performance indicators.
  • Manage customer relationships and drive sales growth, item and category penetration, and profitability.
  • Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of the Sales team and relevant systems.
  • Develop and implement sales procedures as necessary.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments to meet customer needs.
  • Monitor performance metrics to assess progress against annual operating plan targets.
  • Coordinate required training for staff.
  • Determine schedules to ensure adequate coverage of all customer relationships.
  • Assist staff in escalating inquiries to Division, Region, and Corporate functions as needed.
  • Grow profit and penetration of all accounts managed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of sales and distribution experience required, preferably in the foodservice industry.
  • Experience in restaurant operations is desirable.
  • Experience using quantitative & qualitative research data is helpful.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and negotiation skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
