About the position

The National Sales Manager for Brunswick Billiards Group (BBG) is responsible for overseeing all sales activities within assigned markets. This role involves leading a sales team to achieve maximum profitability and growth, developing business plans and strategies, and expanding the customer base. The manager will also contribute to training and educational programs for clients and sales representatives, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and values.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business plans and sales strategies to meet company sales goals and profitability.
  • Assume responsibility for the performance and development of Sales Representatives.
  • Prepare individual and team plans for effective sales lead generation.
  • Initiate and coordinate action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sales plans.
  • Conduct one-on-one reviews with Sales Representatives to enhance communication and identify training needs.
  • Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding sales performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of pricing, sales, and activity reports.
  • Create and conduct proposal presentations for key accounts.
  • Assist Sales Representatives in preparing proposals and presentations.
  • Control expenses to adhere to budget guidelines.
  • Recruit and hire Sales Representatives based on agreed criteria.
  • Ensure Sales Representatives meet or exceed activity standards for prospecting and closing sales.
  • Delegate authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
  • Set examples for Sales Representatives in character, commitment, and work habits.
  • Conduct regular coaching and counseling sessions with Sales Representatives.
  • Maintain contact with all accounts to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales management.
  • 10+ years of consumer products selling experience, preferably in sporting goods.
  • Proven leadership and motivation skills to drive sales teams and results.
  • Experience in selling and managing business programs across multiple distribution channels.
  • Extensive experience in Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
  • Experience managing a sales team with both exempt and independent status.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated time management skills and willingness to travel.
  • Proficient in computer skills such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated sales forecasting experience.
